WWE Raw results: R-Truth returned to WWE programming at Money in the Bank, days after announcing that his contract with the promotion would not be renewed. On the latest episode of Raw, the veteran addressed the audience and proclaimed that he is done being a ‘gimmick’.

R-Truth introduces the WWE Universe to ‘himself’

R-Truth addressed the WWE Universe on the latest episode of Raw (June 9) and thanked fans for making his return to the company possible. Hen said that he was done being R-Truth and will be ‘himself’ going forward. He then said that Truth is funny and goofy but that doesn’t apply to him.

He then cut his hair live on WWE programming and indicated that he would be known as Ron Killings (his real name) in the days to come. His comments suggest that he is set to channel his mean side ahead of what is likely to be his final run with the company.

How ‘you’ paved the way for Ron Killings’ return

A few days ago, Truth announced that his contract with the WWE would not be renewed. This created an uproar on social media as many fans slammed the company for not doing justice to the tenured star. Amid this, Truth returned to WWE programming at Money in the Bank and attacked John Cena. In doing so, he cost him and Logan Paul their tag match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. This was his way of getting even with ‘The Champ’ for humiliating him at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Thereafter, several outlets revealed that Truth had signed a new deal with the company due and would be known as Ron Killings during this run. His merchandise was also re-added to the WWE Store. WWE reportedly took this decision because of fan backlash.
